Taman Ayun, Bali
Taman Ayun Bali's attractions are situated in the village of Mengwi Badung and surrounded by a large pond that in his time as a fortress. Taman Ayun can be interpreted as a beautiful garden. Temple Taman Ayun surrounded by Taman Ayun Lake and is located in the village Mengwi Badung, about 18 km northwest of Denpasar.
Taman Ayun temple was built in 1634 by King Mengwi 'I Gusti Agung Anom' in the Taman Ayun temple there are also Meru - Meru towering and majestic, reserved for the royal ancestors and the gods who are in other temple in Bali.
Pura Taman Ayun Temple is a Mother Temple (Paibon) for Mengwi kingdom. Every six months exactly every "Tuesday Kliwon Medangsia" (based on the calculation of Saka) the whole community celebrates Mengwi piodalan for a few days to worship God with all its manifestations.
Pura swing park consists of several different yards, the first yard called Jaba can be achieved only through a bridge located on the side of the pool and the gate. Once inside there was a small monument to guard the entrance and on the right there is a vast structure (wantilan) used as a cockfight at the ceremony. In this yard, there is also a monument fountain that leads to the 9 cardinal directions. As we headed to the next yard, on the right side road there is a complex of small temple named Pura Luhuring Purnama.
The third area of the Taman Ayun or the second yard has a higher level platform than the first page, on this second yard our view will be focused on a building Aling-aling "Bale Pengubengan" which is decorated with reliefs depict "Dewata Nawa Sanga", (9 god guards the eye wind). In the east of this yard there is a small temple called Pura Dalem Bekak, while to the west there is a towering Kulkul Hall.
The area of the fourth or the last yard is the yard that the highest and most sacred, in this yard there are several Meru towering with various sizes and shapes. The three yard of this temple symbolize the three levels of world cosmology, from the very bottom is the place / world of humans, to levels that are more sacred is the place of the gods, and the last level symbolizes of heaven palace God Almighty. As narrated in the first story Adhiparwa, the entire temple complex of Mount Mahameru illustrates that floats in a sea of milk.
