Tampak Siring, Bali

Tampak Siring is a tourist attraction featuring the beauty of Pura Tirta Empul and the presidential palace, Tampak Siring believed as a place for purification. Tampak Siring located in the Village Tampak Siring which is about 36 kilometers from Denpasar city. Pura Tirta Empul is a relic of ancient times, a very interesting place to visit and in the southwest of this temple there is the palace of President Sukarno.


Pura Tirta Empul was founded in 960 A.D. Tirta Empul means spring that gushed from the ground and the water from Pura Tirta Empul Water is flowing into the River Pakerisan. In the inside of Pura Tirta Empul there are two ponds with 30 water source that composed from east to west, facing to the south. Each of these water sources has its own name among of them are Pengelukatan, Pebersihan Sidamala, and shower Cetik (poison).



Springs Cetik and the name Tirta Empul associated with the myth of war between King Mayadenawa with the God Indra. In metologi was told that the King Mayadenawa was a wicked king, he would not allow its people to perform religious ceremonies to invoke the safety of the Lord. After the act was known by the gods, the gods led by the God Indra attacked Mayadenawa. Mayadenawa eventually be defeated and he fled to the north of the village Tampak Siring. With his power, Mayadenawa create a wellspring Cetik which resulted in the army of God Indra who died due to drinking water. Seeing this the God Indra immediately stuck a pike and emit water out of the ground. The springs are used to treat poison so the gods. The springs from the God Indra is believed to be the springs that located at Tirta Empul Temple.


Taman Ayun, Bali

Taman Ayun Bali's attractions are situated in the village of Mengwi Badung and surrounded by a large pond that in his time as a fortress. Taman Ayun can be interpreted as a beautiful garden. Temple Taman Ayun  surrounded by Taman Ayun Lake and is located in the village Mengwi Badung, about 18 km northwest of Denpasar.

Pura swing park consists of several different yards, the first yard called Jaba can be achieved only through a bridge located on the side of the pool and the gate. In this yard, there is also a monument fountain that leads to the 9 cardinal directions. The third area of ​​the Taman Ayun or the second yard has a higher level platform than the first page, on this second yard our view will be focused on a building Aling-aling "Bale Pengubengan" which is decorated with reliefs depict "Dewata Nawa Sanga", (9 god guards the eye wind). In the east of this yard there is a small temple called Pura Dalem Bekak, while to the west there is a towering Kulkul Hall.


The area of ​​the fourth or the last yard is the yard that the highest and most sacred, in this yard there are several Meru towering with various sizes and shapes. The three yard of this temple symbolize the three levels of world cosmology, from the very bottom is the place / world of humans, to levels that are more sacred is the place of the gods, and the last level symbolizes of heaven palace God Almighty. Mount. Kawi, Bali

Goa Lawah (Bat Cave), Bali

Goa Lawah Kusamba located on the beach, at the mouth of the cave there is a temple named Goa Lawah temple.Goa Lawah located in Klungkung regency with the distance of about one hour from the city of Denpasar or 4 miles from downtown Semarapura which is the capital city of Klungkung regency.

Besakih Temple, Bali

Besakih Temple is the biggest temple in Bali and revered by both Hindus not only in Bali but throughout Indonesia. Besakih Temple is located in the village of Rendang regency Karangasem approximately 90 miles and 2 hours drive from downtown Denpasar.


Besakih Temple is the temple where resides the supreme god word "Besakih" itself comes from the word "Basuki" which means 'Salvation' and a long long time in the spelling became Basukir and Basukih, and end it became Besakih.


The name of Besakih located on two inscriptions are kept in Gedong Penyimpenan in Natar Court, one in the in Merajan Selonding and another one at the Sakti Gaduh temple in the village of Selat. History of Besakih Temple are related with the travelof Sri Markandeya (a Brahmin Shiva) from Raung eastern Java, Basuki area, East Java. His entourage was forced to go back to Java because many of them died of disease. After receiving instructions in Raung, he returned to Bali and held a planting Panca Datu (5 types of metals are gold, silver, iron, copper and diamonds) on the slopes of Mount Agung which became known as the Pura Basukia.

Ulun Danu Temple, Bali

Bedugul is a tourist attraction located in the hills with a very cool weather,with a lake called Beratan lake.


There is a Hindus temple called  Ulun Danu located on the edge of the Beratan lake, Bedugul. Ulun Danu Temple was believed as a place of Sri goddess (Goddess of.Fertility).The history of Ulun Danu Beratan is started from the Mengwi Kingdom, where on the left of the front Ulun Danu Beratan temple contained sarcophagus stone, and a stone board, which is believed from the megalithic tradition, around 500 BC. Both artifacts are now placed on top of each terrace that used as a place to conduct rituals since ancient megalithic.


On the Mengwi Chronicle describes that the founder of Ulun Danu Temple was I Gusti Agung Putu, that also founder of the Taman Ayun Temple. It's not mentioned when he founded the Ulun Danu Beratan, but Taman Ayun Temple established on the day of Anggara Kliwon Medangsia years of Saka Sad Bhuta Yaksa Dewa it is about 1556 years AD or 1634 Years AD.



 
Since the founding of the Ulun Danu temple I Gusti Agung Putu was called "I Gusti Agung Sakti" by his people.
